I always saw myself making a living as an artist. My first recollection of my passion for art came about in junior high school when I started drawing cartoons and writing quick joke for my friends, and giving my family homemade greeting cards. My grandfather, an artist in his own right who painted floral, told me, "One day I see your drawings in newspapers as comic strips or sold in stores as greeting cards."

After a year or two of taking Liberal Arts at Queens Borough Community College in New York, I switched majors to Fine Arts and began my journey to pursue my lifelong desire to become an artist. I graduated with an Associate degree in Fine Arts in 1996 and then transferred to the School of Visual Arts in New York City and graduated with a BFA in Cartooning in 1999.

At the 2004 National Stationery Show, I licensed several cards to a greeting card company named CellMates ™, launching their line for the first time at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City and did very well. I am currently working on new designs for greeting cards, paper party goods, and handmade cards. I also work as a freelance illustrator.

I use mostly pen & ink, gouache, watercolor, and the computer. All of my designs are available for licensing; I also do custom illustrations.

I like making at as a way to express my creativity, and its something that I always enjoyed doing. I prefer using humor because I like drawing funny characters and enjoy the response I get when people view my art. My process when I'm thinking of what I'm going to draw relies mainly on the situation, whether it's for a birthday, a holiday, or something random. I begin doodling on paper and then consider the possibilities of where I can use it. Once I figured out what the sending situation is or if it will become a party unit (i.e., plate, cup, etc.) then I decide if I'll either hand paint it or color it on the computer.

My line offers a freshness of fun and humor for a variety of occasions. My goals and aspirations are to license my designs as gifts, greeting cards, stationery, paper party goods, fashion apparel, and to other product lines in various industries.
